Collectively, the South East Midlands Universities (SEMU) generate a combined annual income exceeding £928 million (2012/13) through their higher education, innovation and research activities making them an economically active and vital part of our locality.
The seven universities across the South East Midlands have formed the South East Midlands Universities Group, known as “SEMU”. They work together to support business and jobs growth across key sectors, including aerospace, automotive engineering, bioscience, defence and security, energy, environment and manufacturing sectors, creative arts, leather technologies and logistics.
